Fog Lit Book Festival – Marketing Coordinator

Fog Lit Festival Inc. is seeking a student or graduate studying or with experience in the field of Communications, English, Business Administration/ Marketing or Graphic Design.

Duties may include (but are not limited to):

  • Updating and creating Website content (WordPress)
  • Assisting with community outreach
  • Researching and coordinating with like-minded and cultural organizations
  • Assisting in the development of our marketing strategy
  • Developing and executing social media strategies, creating content
  • Assisting in developing and distributing promotional materials, including; programs, posters, bookmarks, etc. (Photoshop and InDesign)
  • Managing specific marketing projects as assigned
  • Providing support to Board members and committees in carrying out tasks related to Festival mandate*
  • Proposal and report writing
  • Developing a list of potential sponsors and partners
  • Assisting with special events*

*This position may require occasional evenings or weekends for promotional activities, special event coordination, committee meetings and Board meetings.  Advance notice will be given.

This position is for up to 16 weeks, 40 hours per week @ $11.25 per hour

Applicants must be:

  • between 15 and 30 years of age at the start of the employment;
  • a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act; and legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial/territorial legislation and regulations
