Annette Robichaud is a bilingual poet originally from Saint John, NB who received her MFA in Creative Writing Poetry from San Diego State University. Her poems and poetry translations can be found various journals including Goules de Brume, Poetry International and Poetry East West. In the spring of 2014 she was a resident at the Home of International Poets within the Shangyuan Art Museum Residency in Beijing, China.
While in San Diego she interned for the critically acclaimed journal Poetry International where she served as editorial assistant, helping with contest and journal content, as well as assisting in the planning of readings around campus and the community through Poetry International’s Poetry Translation Club. After her studies she worked in the publishing industry for a year before returning to Saint John in 2014. Annette uses her knowledge gained through her time in San Diego to coordinate the production and editing of the Fog Lit Journal in which the annual contest winners are published.
As Francophone Liaison she assists in the execution of events planned by Fog Lit with their french partner the Salon du livre de Saint-Jean for which she also sits on the general committee. Along with helping in the partnered events she helps in the promotion of the bilingual component by assisting in translation of marketing material for the festival. As co-chair of the Community Outreach Committee, Annette helps co-coordinate off season events with other Fog Lit board members and volunteers.
