Fog Lit Journal Launch 2018

Fog Lit is launching our 5th Journal celebrating local writers. The authors chosen for the journal will be reading from their work.

Bernie Cormier will be hosting for us and musician Magnus LaBillois will be playing.

Saturday, February 24th, 2 pm – 4 pm,  at the Saint John Art Centre. Refreshments will be provided.

Poetry Slam

A wild evening of poetry slam-like competition. Local and emerging poets face off performing original work to be evaluated by a panel of judges.

Teen Coffee House

An evening for teens to share their writing whether it’s poetry, prose, or song. This exciting event allows our youth to show their work in a fresh environment.

Launch Party

Join us on Sunday August 27th and be among the first to learn which authors are coming to Saint John for the 2017 Fog Lit Festival.  Enjoy the music of Adam Washburn and a reading by Leo Lafleur.  Cast your vote to choose the artwork for the 2017 Journal Cover.    The evening will be kept lively by Fog Lit favourite Tim Turnell who will host the evening event.

Workshop – Kerry Lee Powell

On Saturday, May 13th at 12pm the East Branch Library presents, in collaboration with Fog Lit,  the author Kerry Lee Powell. She will read from her book Willem De Kooning’s Paintbrush, which was shortlisted for the 2017 Alistair MacLeod Prize for Short Fiction.

A workshop on writing and trauma will follow and light refreshments will be served. Books will be for sale by Indigo.
